Tropical Waves and Crochet
We recently got back from a trip to the Big Island of Hawaii. Hawaii is my favorite vacation destination. This year our trip just happened to fall during national coffee week and the Big Island of Hawaii is known for their Kona coffee! We visited two coffee plantations, Holualoa Kona Coffee Company and Ka'u Coffee Mill. These are two of our favorites and yes we bought some coffee to bring home. I absolutely love the contrast of the turquoise blue water, the sand, the lava rocks and the palm trees on the big island. The beach just north of the Kona airport is one of my favorites but the drive to get to it is rough and that is an understatement!! We saw a couple of green sea turtles resting in the tidepools. It's always fun to see the turtles! Another one of my favorite spots to visit is Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park . It is a place of refuge and royal grounds south of Kealakekua Bay.
